Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-07 · Version: 1.0
This Cookie Policy explains how StickerSwap uses cookies and similar technologies. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device and store certain information about your preferences, your session, or your past activity. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which we treat the same way as cookies for the purpose of this policy.
2. Our approach: strictly necessary only
We have deliberately designed StickerSwap to use only strictly necessary cookies. We do not use:
- Advertising or marketing cookies.
- Third-party behavioural tracking cookies.
- Social-media tracking pixels (Facebook, TikTok, X, etc.).
- Cross-site tracking or fingerprinting.
- Profiling or "audience" cookies.
Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and equivalent UK and Brazilian rules, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. We still provide this policy so that you understand exactly what is stored on your device.
3. Cookies and similar technologies we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session / auth cookie | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in after authentication | Session / up to 30 days |
| CSRF token | Strictly necessary | Prevents Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks on form submissions | Session |
locale | Strictly necessary (functional) | Remembers your language preference (en-GB, pt-BR, es) | 1 year |
Local storage: theme | Strictly necessary (functional) | Remembers your light/dark theme preference | Until you clear it |
Vercel, our hosting provider, may set additional first-party cookies for security and basic, privacy-friendly analytics that do not identify individuals and do not require consent under EU guidance.
4. How to control or remove cookies
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break authentication and core features of the Service.
5. Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (for example, opt-in analytics), we will update this policy and present a proper consent banner offering equally prominent "Accept" and "Reject" options, and we will not set any non-essential cookies before you give consent.
